The Bloggers Ultimate List for Gorgeous Free Photos

As bloggers sometimes we really don’t have time to go out, take gorgeous photos, edit them to perfection, and then create graphics. Most of us have a full time job and having time to do every tiny thing for our blogs is a full time job in itself. So what do you do when you just don’t have the time? You find photos to use. I try not to EVER use this option, be it free photos or not, I usually will only write about a topic I’ve fully thought out, tested, and photographed myself. Using a lot of stock photos I think drives away that personal feeling we want to see on a blog. It’s a connection to the blogger. However, I completely understand the need for the occasional stock photo.

Another important thing new bloggers need to remember is the rules of copyright. When you use someone else’s photo, words, graphics, etc. without express permission it is called copyright and punishable by law. Sounds extreme to use a silly google searched photo then be sued; but imagine working hours on end on a painting, a book, or a recipe then someone walking in and claiming all the work. It’s not fair, is it? It doesn’t matter if it was an accident, if you’re a new blogger if you don’t make money off your blog, etc. I know it seems harmless but before you go grabbing photos for your next blog post consider the many options given to you for fun and beautiful free photos.
