Sophie Blake Interview with Teluna artist and owner Diana Johnson
I was really excited when Sophie from Sophie Blake NY asked me to create a custom greeting card design for her Galentine’s Event. To top it off, she asked if I’d be willing to be the live calligraphy artist while customers shopped and enjoyed little treats. It was hand’s down one of my favorite events to date. With shopping, rosé, jewelry, art, and glam combined, the event was a lot of women’s dream girl’s day! Customer’s got to shop around, pick a custom card and I would hand calligraphy their personalized message in the card while they checked out.
As a perfectionist, it was such a great way to let loose with my art. Watching people be truly amazed as I wrote, I, of course, was thinking about all the little details I would redo, so it was a good reminder that it’s okay to let go and just have fun with your art sometimes.
Prior to the event, Sophie styled me in her jewelry and clothing from the shop for a photoshoot followed by an interview for their website. It was such a great way to showcase her products and mine!
