Ahh Rosé, the beautiful blush pink liquid that’s made it socially acceptable to drink before noon. You’re not being scandalous drinking rosé, you’re being classy. You’re the girl that says no to drowning her morning glass of bubbly in oj and sticking to the trendy “I’m better than mimosas” upper class type feel.

Since Rosé has for some reason become a summer trend like white jeans, I wanted to make it into a summer treat, something cool, sweet and refreshing for these 1000% humidity days. Fellow DC’ers you get me. The green tea ice cream pairs wonderfully with the tart lemon rosé combination and its watermelon colors match summer vibes. Though it’s delicious year round and I encourage crafting this dish in the dead of winter to enjoy snuggled under mounds of blankets, it certainly adds to a hot summer night’s gaiety.
Best part: this Rosé Green Tea dream boat won’t cause those incurable, I think I’m dead, champagne hangovers you usually get drinking straight from the bottle. Don’t act like you don’t. So go ahead, make it at home, Rosé-gram this beauty and obnoxiously hashtag the shit out of it. #classyAF #rosegram
Rosé and Rose Simple Syrup Granita over Green Tea Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 Bottle Rosé
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup Royal Rose Simple Syrup
- Green Tea Ice Cream
Instructions
- Juice 1 lemon into a shallow dish, mix in Rose Simple Syrup and the entire bottle of Rosé.
- Mix well and place in the freezer.
- Every 30minutes, pull out your Rosé mixture and scrape frozen top layers off with a fork. This prevents the mixture from freezing into 1 block and instead creating a slushy like granita.
- Scoop green tea ice cream into a glass, top with Rosé granita, garnish with mint leaf and lemon slice.
ENJOY!
Ummm what?! This looks AMAZING! And like it would be the perfect addition to a girl’s brunch on Sunday. Guess I’ll just have to plan one now, oh darn! 🙂
