What is your favorite way to dress up an outfit?
While mine is typically throwing on heels, today I’m fawning over my Trina Turk blazer. I love mixing casual with a touch of chic and the thought of spicing up my ripped DIY Jean Shorts with this fun pattern blazer. And of course kickin it street style with the ever stylish staple white Converse.
This blazer is the perfect example of dressing like you’ve got the money without emptying your bank. How? Friends meet Nordstrom Rack; my favorite savings location. I bought this Trina Turk Beatrix Stripe Blazer for $98.40. Now I know this sounds like a lot and I don’t typically drop that much on one piece but sometimes you’ve got to chalk it up to what I call an “investment”. A piece you may not wear everyday but are more than excited to break it out and feel inspired by wearing it.
Trina Turk is expensive, but it’s because when it comes to quality, she doesn’t skimp on fabrics and manufacturing. In an interview Trina said “…it has really driven down the overall quality of the clothes out there. I think young people who shop at H&M don’t even know what a nice fabric is and wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if they saw it.” Sad right? The quality of this blazer was well worth the price in my opinion; especially with the starting price at a whopping $328.00. Ill take the latter.
What’s your chic investment piece?
Sometimes you’ve got to forego the heels and throw on a killer blazer.
