Im excited to kick off this week as I will be sharing an entire week of Thanksgiving and Holiday DIYs for you! Today until Friday I will be sharing a DIY per day to help make your Thanksgiving decorated beautifully from name place holders to table runners to burlap garlans. Be sure to keep a look out each day! Today we’re going to start with these beautiful DIY table name place holder. I love decor like this because it’s very classy and adds an extra luxury touch and personal feel for your family and guests to enjoy. This DIY is super easy and adds a Holiday elevation all your own.
::MATERIALS::
clothespins, paper, pen, white and gold spray paint, added detail (flower, leaves, sticks, plastic berries)
::HOW TO::
1. I wanted my clothes pins to really shine so I sprayed them first with a layer of white, then finished them with a layer of gold. It really added a pretty sparkle to the name holder.
2. While your pins are drying, cut your “added detail” to the size you’d like. I used plastic berries I found at our local Walmart (something like these) and just popped off each little top berry extension, then cut off the plastic bottom section that attached it to the stem. They were only about $2.99. I then added a tiny spray of gold to each piece. This made them match the name card holder (clothes pin) without fully covering their natural color.
3. Cut your paper to your desired name card size, I cut an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper into 12 sections. Write your guests names on each card.
4. Assemble your DIY table name place holders by clipping 1 detail garland behind a name tag in each of the clothes pins. Place them on the plate at your table and watch as your guests ogle over your beautiful decorations!
Happy Thanksgiving!
