Thank you, Jesus, it’s finally Spring. Say goodbye to layering coats and hiding indoors. While my incredibly pale legs are not yet ready for skirts, my mind, and the weather sure are. I love Spring weather but let’s be serious, Spring is weird. It could be up to 80 during the day and still get down to low 40s at night. You know what I’m talking about when it’s blazing hot in the sun but then the clouds roll in and the wind kicks up, all of a sudden your shivering. You never know which shoes to wear and you’re more than likely still going to have to carry a sweater around wherever you go. Cue my animal print and black corduroy skirt for Spring.
While this makes getting dressed kind of difficult it does give you the perfect opportunity to mix warm and cooler pieces together. It’s the short window of time you can wear your heavy lined skirts and thick cotton t-shirts that can only be reawakened come mid Fall.
So now that Spring has sprung; its all corduroy and bell sleeves filling my Instagram feed… and I don’t hate it. Gives me a chance to pull out my black button down corduroy skirt to pair with one of my current favorite pieces, this green animal print thick cotton shirt. Both pieces are heavy and warm but don’t cover too much area; perfect for one of those awkward Spring weather days.
Pull out those awkward pieces and rock them for the next couple weeks. (If you live on the east coast, where Spring only lasts about a month) This is the exact shirt I’m wearing (Soft touch mock neck t-shirt from Zara) but I’ve linked similar colors and styles below.
If you’re like me and typically create a shopping cart then MAYBE come back and buy it like 3 months later, don’t fret about losing track of these gorgeous pieces. By clicking the heart below you can get a Sale Alert directly to you and enjoy these pieces for even less! Happy Spring!
