DIY Fall Scented Diffuser

Are you one of those people who has secretly been stocking up on Fall scented candles all year, just waiting for October to come around so you can nonchalantly light them all? No judgement here. I’ve done it for years. But this year I realized my candle stash is now packed up in boxes. (Que sad violin song) I can’t fully embrace Fall without the wondrous scent of cinnamon, clove and citrus! So prior to having a lack of delicious smells melt down, I decided to create my own DIY Fall Scented Diffuser. It was so quick and easy, much more decorative than candles, and I used little things from around the house to make it. So keep your candle stash for next year and place these beautiful scent diffusers around your home. Then breath deeply. Happy Fall!

::MATERIALS::

Glass bottle, wooden or bamboo sticks, filtered water, Witch Hazel, doTERRA Essential Oils: Clove, Cinnamon, Ginger, Citrus Bliss, “Garnishes” I used leaves, flowers, and cinnamon sticks

::INSTRUCTIONS::

1.Add 2 Tbsp witch hazel to the glass bottle. Witch hazel is a clear, odorless, natural astringent which helps the oil and water to mix together.

2. Pour about 3/4 of the water bottle into the glass jar with the witch hazel.

3. Add the following of each essential oil to the bottle:

Clove: 8

Ginger: 2

Cinnamon: 10

Citrus Blend: 5

How cool is this? Some of the essential oils do not mix and sink as heavy oil beads to the bottom.

4. Place all “garnishes” in the bottle. Then place sticks inside; I used one of my flowers to balance them at the top but if your sticks are long enough to stick out of the top you don’t need to.
