When it comes to taking a trip I’m usually all about the adventures, back roads, and unique excursions. But when the opportunity presents itself, I am more than happy to take a pampered luxury trip. This was one of those trips you have to pinch yourself whilst there and dream about when you get home. A place you walk into and find yourself in complete awe of it’s perfectly executed architecture complimenting the stunning private peninsula and take in the incredible natural beauty. One such resort with that effect was my stay at the most luxurious Turks and Caicos resort, Turtle Tail Estates.
While there are lots of beautiful places to stay in Turks, including all-inclusive resorts and small beachfront villas, there is nothing compared to the privacy and comfort of staying at your own palace. Having your own private place is perfect for larger groups and groups with children. It offers your group a chance to really spend time together rather than parting multiple times daily to separate hotel rooms and Turtle Tail Estates offers just that, luxurious privacy with the utmost in comfort and tranquility. Imagine all the perks of an all-inclusive but rather than sharing that with 200 other people it’s just you and a few friends and family.
Getting To and Around Turtle Tail Estates
I was incredibly fortunate to take a privately owned jet to the island but you can also fly into the Providenciales International Airport, the closest airport to Turtle Tail Estates. Turks and Caicos is only a 90-minute flight from Miami and its convenient location offers stunning white sand beaches littered with enormous conch shells. From the airport, you’ll receive complimentary luxury transfers to the estate where you’ll be greeted with freshly squeezed juices and the most friendly staff.
Famous for snorkeling and bay horseback riding, there are plenty of places just a short 20-30minute drive out of Turtle Tail to explore the city of Providenciales and all its treasures aside from the resort. There are moped rentals just a few miles away as well if you want a more leisurely ride.

The Rooms at Turtle Tail
There are 7 luxury suite rooms at the Turtle Tail Estate, 5 in the main area and 2 in the guest house, each with its own unique and private view of the turquoise waters. Coffee on a private balcony facing the tropical sea, yes, please!
This beautiful estate is perfect for larger groups and groups with kids. The outdoor amenities are a luxury all on their own from the fire pit and floodlit tennis court to the wrap-around heated infinity pool and fireside hot tub. For the kids, or you quick to get board adults, there is a movie theater, gym, game room and media room, what more could you need!?
The Food at Turtle Tail
Turtle Tail Estates dining experience was particularly memorable. Every meal was catered by the very talented Chef Aldin Alejandro and served by the sweetest of staff and butlers. Each breakfast was a feast, a brunch goer’s wet dream, and every meal was unique with fresh ingredients served with a side of panoramic sea views. We ate everything from spicy chicken pad thai to octopus and sardine salads, let’s just say I did not weigh myself for at least a week after the trip.
The Day to Day at Turtle Tail Estates
While I don’t typically enjoy being couped up on a vacation, I never felt trapped here. The pool spanned the entire house, wrapping around on both sides toward more panoramic views. The house provided paddle boards, kayaks, and our private beach was so crystal blue, calm and shallow you could walk miles out without spilling a drop of your handcrafted rum punch.
While we did not take advantage, there’s also a private dock ready to pick you up and sail off to the other beaches and luxury hot spots.
So if you’re looking for your next ultra-luxury resort, away from the crowds, look into the Turtle Tail Estate on Providenciales Island. A peaceful retreat full of luxury relaxation, with the best of Turks & Caicos.
